ROSANNA
AS A TEACHER
My aim as a teacher is to foster a love of learning in all my students, driven by my own enthusiasm and passion for education. With over ten years of teaching experience across various contexts, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of learners from toddlers through to adults as well as students with special needs and disabilities.
I strongly believe in making education accessible by tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each learner. Collaboration with parents and caregivers is of utmost importance to ensure that our students can achieve their learning goals effectively.
My journey as a teacher began in 2011 as a private music tutor, teaching piano and singing ensemble lessons, before becoming a full-time primary school teacher in 2016. During my time at Cabramatta West Public School, I led the school choir as well as conducted the combined schools choir at the annual Community of Schools Concert. My contributions to the creative and performing arts initiatives at the school led to receiving the Director's Award for Significant Achievement in Early Career Teaching in 2019.
In addition to my regular teaching roles, I have worked as an Itinerant Support Teacher for students with vision impairment. More recently, I worked as a numeracy support specialist, facilitating the Small Group Tuition Program (previously the COVID Intensive Learning Support Program) at Sydney Secondary College Balmain Campus.
AS AN ARTIST
As a lifelong learner and emerging artist, I recently obtainned a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre) degree at the Australian Institute of Music. My previous training in the performing arts includes studying piano with Amanda Yeomans and Dr Sandra Garrido as well as completing the Emerging Artists Program at The HubStudio in 2021.
Recently, I debuted my wildly successful cabaret and recital performances at AIM, inspired by my favourite childhood TV program. Titled “Play School | The Live Special: All Grown Up” and “Play School | The Live Special: Careers Expo”, the parody shows received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Among my artistic endeavours, I have worked with Slanted Theatre as an actor and sound operator. I have also collaborated with Whimsical Productions as the Assistant Music Director for their 2023 production of "Next to Normal". Other notable show credits include: "Spring Awakening" (2022), "Midsummer Madness" (2022), and "The Theory of Relativity" (2021).
